The interior design industry has changed a lot since the mid-1980s.
In the 1990s, the industry focused on the aesthetics of the interior.
Now, interior design is about designing a space to maximize the potential of the space.
A designer’s responsibility is to think about all aspects of the design of the room, including the space, the materials, the way in which they work together.
It’s all about getting to the bottom of what makes a room a good fit.
That’s why a new study from the American Institute of Architects and the Institute of Interior Design is the first to look at the history of interior design and how interior design has evolved in the last 40 years.
They found that there’s a lot of overlap between the two fields.
In some ways, they say that interior design needs to become more like a medicine, rather than a treatment.
The study also points out that, in the 21st century, it’s time to look back at interior design to find some lessons that could be taken from its history and how to make it better.
The history of the art and interior design The study, “A history of Interior design: The History of Art and Interior Design” by the IOA and IEP, was conducted by the Institute for Interior Design, a professional society based in New York.
It is published in the March 2017 issue of the journal International Journal of the Art of Design.
It includes interviews with more than 400 designers and interior designers.
The authors also found that the profession has changed over the years.
“There are more interior designers today than in the 1980s, and the trends are very different,” said Laura Noyes, an IOA vice president for research and development.
The IOA said that its research shows that designers are changing the way they design spaces in order to better connect their clients and the customers themselves.
It says that in the 1970s, interior designers focused more on the visual aspect of the product, rather then the design.
“Today, designers want to be able to say, ‘We have a vision for the space and how it fits into the interior design concept,'” said Noyles.
She added that interior designers want “to be able look at an area and say, This space will be more engaging and beautiful if we make it a good home for your family.”
The study points out several trends in the past 40 years in the design field.
First, there’s been an increase in the use of materials and the ability to integrate them into the design process.
“We’re going to see more and more of these materials being integrated into the final design of an interior space, but they’re also going to be integrated in the exterior design of a building,” said Noya.
“It’s all interwoven into the overall design.”
Another trend is that designers want the space to be accessible to everyone, whether they’re the owner or a client.
“In the ’80s, it was almost always a man and woman in the home.
Now we have more men and women who want the same things for their home,” said Thomas A. Cone, an architectural professor at Indiana University.
The research suggests that we need to rethink how we design spaces to be more accommodating to everyone.
“You need to be open to a wider range of people.
You need to accommodate people from all walks of life,” said Cone.
It also suggests that designers need to work harder to integrate materials in a space that’s meant to be shared and to provide an opportunity for the user to interact with it.
“Interior design is a science of relationships,” said Paul M. DeRisi, an associate professor of interior and urban design at New York University.
“Designing for the needs of the user, that means not just a designer in the room but also the people around them.”
The authors of the study suggest that designers should look at how they can incorporate materials into a design that’s intended to be a safe space, like a bedroom or a bathroom.
It should be able provide privacy, be accessible, and offer the user a sense of place and community.
“If you’re looking for a place to have a private conversation, that’s a place where people can get to know each other,” said DeResi.
“People should be welcomed and have a good time, and that’s how you make a good place.”
