By Chris GannanThe Jeep Gladiator has always been one of my favourite off-road trucks to drive, and it has always had a certain amount of off-roading capability, with the ability to tow over 200kg of cargo (up to 40,000 pounds) on its wheels.
However, the company behind the iconic off-highway SUV, the Jeep Wagoneer, has been quietly working on a new design for its future Wagoneers that’s much more modern and more agile.
As you can see in the photo below, the new design has been designed to be more agile, lighter and more manoeuvrable than its predecessors.
The new design uses an all-new aluminum alloy frame, aero kit that uses lightweight composite material and an aerodynamic system that combines the power of an internal combustion engine with the rigidity of a drag car.
The design has also been fitted with a wide range of technologies including carbon fibre and magnesium alloy wheels and a lightweight composite chassis.
There’s no word yet on when the new Wrangler Wagonees will be unveiled, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
